Terms and conditions of e-shopping

 

1.       The order may be placed by both registered and unregistered users.

2.       Choose a publication and insert it into a basket. Return from the basket to the original page through the continue shopping button.

3.       If you have in the basket all books you are interested in, click the order button, choose the method of delivery and payment, fill in the delivery address if it is different  from the invoice address, and if you want to send a message to the e-shop, fill in the notes below the order.

4.       The order is mandatory. The acceptance of the order will be confirmed to the user to the e-mail address entered during the registration process.

5.       The orders are dispatched until the actual stock has run out.

6.       The indicated selling prices are applicable in this e-shop only.

Cash on delivery goods – only in the CR. (No cash on delivery goods are sent abroad).

 

Delivery and payment

Cash on delivery:

In the territory of the Czech Republic the goods are delivered by the company Česká pošta, s.p. The postage of 110,- Kč (5 EUR) is charged for cash on delivery of the Česká pošta, s.p. If the price of ordered goods is higher than 2 000,- Kč and the weight of the goods is lower than 15 kg, the postage is 0,- Kč. In case that the weight of delivered goods is higher than 15 kg, the goods will be divided into several parcels and the respective postage will be charged.

Collection of goods:

The goods can be collected personally only in the shop of textbooks and economic literature at the University of Economics in Prague, nám. W. Churchilla 4, Praha 3 (the entrance is from the Italská Street). The shopping hours see:  nakladatelstvi.vse.cz/prodejny-skript-a-odborne-literatury/prodejni-doba/

Credit card:

After the consent to the basket contents the user is redirected to the secure payment gateway of the company Česká spořitelna, a.s., where the payment transaction will be carried out after the credit card data have been entered. Subsequently, the user will receive an e-mail confirming such payment. Based on the payment realized in this way our mailing department will dispatch the goods and send them to the customer through the Česká pošta, s.p.

Postage for the credit card payment (economic ordinary parcel) is:

Czech Republic: 110,- Kč

If the price of ordered goods is higher than 2 000,- Kč and the weight of the goods is lower than 15 kg, the postage is 0,- Kč. In case that the weight of delivered goods is higher than 15 kg, the goods will be divided into several parcels and the respective postage will be charged.

Europe:              250,- Kč (10 EUR)

Others:               375,- Kč (15 EUR)

 

Dispatch

 

1.       On work days you will receive the confirmation of the order within 24 hours since its placing. The order will be confirmed to the e-mail address entered during the  registration process.

2.       Books ordered as cash on delivery or those paid by credit card will be dispatched within 2 – 3 work days but the delivery time of the Česká pošta, s.p. should be  added (currently 3 work days).

3.       At the turn of the months of July/August and December/January the delivery time may be longer by up to 10 work days for technical reasons.

4.       The ordered goods to be collected personally will automatically be available for collection in the shop at the soonest on the 2nd work day since placing the order.

5.       At the collection of books in the shop you should submit the confirmation of the order you received or you should show the number of the order.

6.       The uncollected goods are automatically cancelled after 5 work days.

The operator reserves the right to interrupt temporarily the collection of goods in the shop due to a huge amount of “collections”.

 

Pursuant to Act No. 367/2000 the buyer has the right to withdraw from the contract of purchase without giving a reason within 21 days from the collection of goods with the exception of audio CD and multimedia CD-ROM in which the package is damaged. The buyer has the right to be refunded the amount paid for these goods (the seller does not refund package, postage and COD charges) if the following conditions are satisfied: returned goods shall not be damaged or otherwise devalued, in multimedia and audio (CD, MC, CD-ROM) the plastic wrapping shall not be torn. The buyer will deliver at his/her own expense the returned goods to the seller’s address personally or by post.

The collection of goods in the shop is not an internet shopping, it is only the reservation of goods. The customer has an opportunity and time enough to inspect the goods. Hence in this case the customer cannot withdraw from the contract of purchase without giving a reason within 14 days.

 

E-books (download)


The e-book is an electronic publication in PDF format that can be downloaded after payment to: PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod, e-readers, Android, Windows mobile.
(It cannot be bought as cash on delivery or sent by post, therefore buy e-books as particular items, separately from the other goods).


Two payment methods for e-books:


1.    By credit card – payment by card of an electronic publication only


Having paid the e-book by credit card (secure payment gate of the Česká spořitelna, a.s. Company), the customer will receive the download address to the e-mail that was entered at registration. Having inserted this address in a browser and having clicked on download, the customer can save the e-book onto a PC, notebook, flash disk or any other device.


The e-book may be downloaded and saved only once (1 item) and onto one device only; it may not be reproduced, printed or copied anyhow.


The e-book is a document in read-only and browse-only format.


The Oeconomica Publishing House is not responsible either for any incorrect e-mail address entered by the customer at registration at which they will receive the download address of the paid e-book or for any potential abuse of the download address by a third person.


2.    Personal collection at the shop of textbooks and economic literature                     of the University of Economics in Prague, nám. W. Churchilla 4, Praha 3


The customer will pay for the e-book at the cash desk of the shop and will receive a receipt on which the download address is printed. Having inserted this address in a browser and having clicked on download, the customer can save the e-book onto a PC, notebook, flash disk or any other device.


The e-book may be downloaded and saved only once (1 item) and onto one device only; it may not be reproduced, printed or copied anyhow.


The e-book is a document in read-only and browse-only format.


The customer is obliged to protect the download address printed on the receipt from its abuse (misappropriation) by a third person. Neither e-shop nor Oeconomica Publishing House of the University of Agriculture in Prague is responsible for any potential loss or misappropriation of this address.


Claims:
If the customer fails to download the bought e-book from the e-shop, they will send a claim to the e-mail address eshop@vse.cz . The responsible staff will check whether the e-book concerned was downloaded or not. In the claim please indicate the number of the order or the date and number of the receipt.
In case that the claim is admitted, a new download address will be sent to the customer.

The claim letter shall contain:

Order No. or proof of payment

Description of defects

Claimant’s contact address

Faulty goods

The seller will decide on the claim within 5 work days and will notify the customer by an electronic mail unless otherwise agreed in advance.

The claim will be settled within 30 days since the day of lodging a claim unless otherwise agreed between the seller and the customer.

If the seller admits the claim, the customer will be returned the amount paid for a damaged book. The seller will not return the amount paid as postage and packing charges.

Personal data protection

Any personal or corporate data provided by customers to the e-shop operated by the University of Economics in Prague are considered as confidential and protected under the respective rules. The customer has the right to ask for the erasure of his/her personal data from the database if he/she has not placed any order in the shop after sending a requisition to the operator’s address. The login name should be included in this requisition.
